Dr.Merin Alex
D.D.S(AUST), MOH(UAE), G Dip Clinical Dentistry (UoM), ADC Certificate.
Dr. Merin Alex graduated Doctor of Dental Surgery from Ajman University of Science and Technology in 2003 in UAE. Since then she has been working with the Ministry of Health and with Medical Centre as her public and private practices respectively. Whilst working with the Ministry of Health, she has been involved in research work involving preventive dentistry and has extensive experience in treating children with MI hypoplasia and apprehensive children. She was awarded for making AL Sondous school caries free through her efforts, which later was considered as a control for research purposes. Her private practice with the Medical centre gave her a very good exposure in all fields of dentistry.
After moving to Australia Dr.Merin joined UoM for Grad Dip Clinical Dentistry for which she received a Scholarship from Dental Health Services Victoria(DHSV). DHSV offered her employment with Merri Health.
Since then Dr. Merin has been working with the community clinic, helping people achieve the best in maintaining their healthy teeth. Dr Merin’s extensive experience and dedication to dentistry have earned her the opportunity to mentor UoM final-year dental students through the outreach program conducted by UoM and Banyule Community Health Centre. She recalls it as a pleasurable experience of contributing by mentoring the next generation of dentists. During which Dr Merin was given an opportunity to work privately, Dr. Merin was blown away by the different choice of treatment options that can be offered to patients to help them keep their teeth as long as possible and get the treatment that the patient wants or needs. The only thing that stands between patients and their expectations is just the patients. Once a patient decides that he/she needs that treatment, numbers or waiting periods don’t stand par. Dr Merin was happy to help her patients who are keen on keeping their teeth once again, and finally, she decided to start her practice, where there are no limits to dreams and wishes.
Dr Merin loves the community that she lives in and loves to contribute back selflessly, so she volunteers at MPHPS, St. George Orthodox church and was the president of The Heights Kindergarten.
Merin enjoys spending time with her kids and partner. Merin loves to surprise her kids and take them on a new adventure every day, be it finding bugs in her garden or a Disney trip to the US.

Alyson Vidot
Alyson Vidot is trained in Scotland and speaks Scottish. Alyson comes with over 20 years of Dental assisting experience, with both Public and private clinics around Melbourne. She was previously the Senior dental assistant for Darebin Community Health and Merri Health. Alyson worked in many areas including interviews, audits, supervising junior DA and mentoring dental students.
Alyson is up to date with infection control protocols and sterilisation. She attends yearly conducted first aid, CPR and infection control education.
Alyson is always cheerful and pleasant to work with. If you have any concerns about your visit with us, she is the one you could talk to and we will organise to make you comfortable during your visit.
Other than dentistry Alyson loves to swim and keep herself fit and healthy. Alyson enjoys gardening and visits her mum in Scotland often.
Anna Zito
Anna is our Italian-speaking dental assistant, who comes with over 30 years of experience in Melbourne—having worked with famous dentists in Melbourne.
Anna is exceptional in her clinical skills and knowledge. She is excellent in chairside assistance, infection control and sterilisation.
Anna will make you comfortable and help you reach a tranquil state when you come for your treatments.
Anna has been to conferences and keeps up to date with the latest technologies. She has attended yearly CPR and first aid as well as sterilisation courses.
Anna is a new grandmum who won’t miss any chance that she gets to cuddle her new grandson. Anna loves to explore the world and spend quality time with her family. Her favourite destination is Bali, Honolulu to name a few. Anna finds time to go for walks with her partner to keep herself fit and keep her schedule tight.
Nathaan Kandathil
Nate is our youngest team member, who is keen on dentistry. Having been raised in Melbourne, Nate is doing his work experience with our surgery whilst attending college. Nate has exceptional skills in chairside assisting and reception.
Nate’s charming nature and cool attitude will help the most worried patient keep calm. If you are timid like Nate, talk to him your concerns and he can help.
Nate loves cricket and has played for teams since primary school, currently, he plays for Old Paradian’s cricket club and attends regular training with international players.
